Clickair, official airline of Fira de Barcelona
It, thereby, reinforces its link to the city and business passengers, aim of its new services.
Clickair and Fira de Barcelona have signed an agreement whereby the company has become the official airline of the trade fair institution, one of the most important in Europe, for both the number of shows and visitors. With this alliance, Clickair consolidates its efforts in favour of business passengers and reinforces its ties with the city, in which it has its headquarters and main operational base.
Alex Cruz, CEO of Clickair, and Agustín Cordón, CEO of Fira de Barcelona, signed the agreement in the headquarters of the trade fair institution, leader in the Spanish market of industrial/professional shows which has a portfolio of 80 shows, 3.5 million visitors and 40,500 exhibiting companies (direct and represented). Fifteen of its shows are among the three leading events in their speciality in Europe.
The CEO of Fira de Barcelona stated that "air transport is a key element for the competitiveness of companies and also for an institution such as Fira". The agreement, Cordón added, "will allow us to offer advantages and facilities to Spanish and international visitors and exhibitors which come to our exhibition centres, one of Europe's best platforms for large sector events".
Alex Cruz pointed out that Clickair "culminates the aspiration we have felt since we became the leading airline of Barcelona and also of the organisation which best symbolises the entrepreneurial dynamism of our city and its enterprising vocation open to the world".
