HiT Barcelona rewards the three best business plans

The show was visited by over 2,000 professionals and business leaders

The North American company peerTransfer has won the second Global Entrepreneurship Competition (GEC). This contest was one of the main attractions of HiT Barcelona, global technological innovation summit held from the 16th to the 17th of June in the Montjuïc exhibition centre.

Out of the 23 business plans entered in the competition, peerTransfer won the first prize of 20,000 euros for creating an online platform for making international payments and bank transfers with a 10 times lower cost alternative than traditional ones. The companies CaptchaAd y Gold-i came in second and third, respectively.

In addition to the awards, HiT Barcelona, which had an audience of over 2,000 visitors, brought together leading entrepreneurs and innovators to share ideas and promote projects. The show also provided the setting for a total of 17 addresses and round tables and for 705 meetings between entrepreneurs and private investment funds from around the world.

HiT Barcelona formed part of Bizbarcelona, a platform for promoting initiatives on innovation, entrepreneurship, company growth and internationalisation hosted by the city of Barcelona.
